As in the several previous years, the will be handling the weigh in and age verification process at the Texas County Family YMCA. They will begin registration on Monday, April 22nd and will continue until Friday, April 26th, or until registration is filled. This is first-come, first-serve registration. Children must be between 4 and 7 years old and under 50lb.
The YMCA will accept faxed registrations ONLY on Monday, April 22md from 9 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Central Time; for those youths who live too far from Guymon to register before the 26th of April. Walk-in registrations will be accepted until full from 9am - 5pm, Tuesday, April 23rd - Friday, April 26th. Children may only enter one time for the entire weekend.
The Mutton Bustin' Release form can be downloaded here PDF | Word. The form must be accompanied by a doctor’s note (on the doctor’s prescription pad) verifying age and weight of the child. Please indicate which performance you will be present for during your visit to Guymon.
Performance times of the 2013 Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo:
- Friday, May 3rd – 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, May 4th – 2:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 4th – 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, May 5th – 2:00 p.m.
Mutton Bustin’ will be held before each of the four PRCA Rodeo performances. The child and one parent/guardian/adult are allowed to be in the prep and performance areas. The child must be present at least one (1) hour before performance time to put on the protective gear. The adult must have been allowed entry with the purchase of a rodeo performance ticket and the child with either a rodeo performance ticket or two cans of food.
